Peter Stern is a London born documentary film maker, photographer, musician.
Peter recently completed the documentary film, KIM LIM - THE SPACE BETWEEN which premiered in January 2025 about the Singaporean/English artist Kim Lim.
He also recently completed a documentary film with GILBERT & GEORGE in conversation about their 2000 show at the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills, California.
Peter directed the feature length documentary film, AN IMPROBABLE ODYSSEY - THE LIFE AND TIMES OF BRIAN WALL, about internationally renowned sculptor Brian Wall, who was responsible for fabricating many of Barbara Hepworth's metal sculptures in St Ives, England in the 1950s and went on to hold a prominent role in the “swinging” 1960s London art scene.
Peter is currently editing a six part documentary film series, RISE OF THE STREETS, which follows the rise of street culture into the mainstream where those culture become a predominant part of society. Featuring Paul Simonon of The Clash, Shawn Stussy, founder of the Stussy brand, Boy George, recording artist, James Jebbia, founder of Supreme, Jazzie B, recording artist, Virgil Abloh, artistic ex-director of Louis Vuitton, Kim Jones, creative director for Dior amongst a host of others.
